The new addition to Backyard Birds, Backyard Accents, is opening Thursday, July 1!!! It has been a long tedious process and we thank you for your patience during construction. We welcome you to visit Backyard Accents and hope you will find many delightful and lovely things to enhance the beauty of your backyard habitat.
We created Backyard Accents because we saw so many wonderful things for outdoor décor when we visited the trade show in Atlanta in January and wanted to bring these things to Murrells Inlet for our customers and the many tourists we see every year. Since we were already “popping at the seams” in our Backyard Birds store, we decided to expand into the unit next to us. Each store has its own name but a new doorway connects them for passage into either side.
Backyard Accents will have a variety of decorative items with a constantly changing inventory. You will find weather gauges, flags, door mats, benches, trellises, birdbaths, garden stakes, pots, windsocks, arbors and whimsical birdhouses. You will also find nature inspired jewelry and gift items. We will soon be featuring photography by well known local artists. We even have some very pretty greeting cards with bird illustrations for all occasions. You are, of course, familiar with how much we have crammed into Backyard Birds – well, Backyard Accents is arranged with pretty much the same philosophy “If a little is good, a lot is better!”
